I must say, the Lord bless me with a wonderful mom. I remember back sitting on the floor playing with my dolls while she studied her bible.

My dad was bed ridden for 2 years due to diabetes. My mom caried for him every day with feeding and giving baths. It allowed my dad to be at peace at home where us girls could visit. When he died she was still working with his covers and wiping his head.

As you can tell, I do love my mother!

Your lily give away is such a sweet honor of your Mom.
Bless ya.

Hi,Arelene.
I have many memories of my mom, but my favorite was when I was very little and my mother was ironing my father's shirts in the dining room. She was young and happy, and she was actually singing, "Life is Such a Bowl of Cherries". Seriously.

My favorite memory of my mom is how much she loved my kids, her grandchildren. It's too bad she didn't get to see them all grown up, she'd be so proud of them. I lost her in 2000 and I still miss her daily. Still wish I could pick up the phone and call her to share our day.

We just got home from camping at my mom and dad farm last night and having huge breakfast with our family. I have so many wonderful memories with my mom but one I will never forget (and we still giggle about) is when she was trying to teach me to drive a stick shift when I was 16. I was going a little too fast and tried to clutch and brake at the same time, made the little Escort I was driving lurch and lunge and run off the edge of the road into the ditch, the next lunge put us back on the road and we were both laughing so hard I had to pull into the next driveway and stop. When we finally stopped giggling enough to talk we both said (at the same time) OMG, I just wet my pants!

This is really neato Oakie! I haven't seen this before. How do you find the time to do all you do?
My grandmother was a big lily fan, and Aaliyah's flower was the Star Lily.
My mom is still with me, and we are enjoying each other's company as much as possible. I think she is funnier now than she ever has been!
You can put my name in the hat@
Thanks so much!
