I chose the title reflection for many reasons. One of those reason is naturally it is 911. It changed so many lives. Mine has not been the same since. My husband was in the Guard at that time and was called to duty on September 15th 2009. The Army took him to Georgia then eventually Iraq for 2 years. A lot change with us since then. We became close in some ways and far away in others. Not sure why except for the things he saw and the things I saw during this time. I made a trip to NYC a few years ago and went to the site. It was one of the most emotional things I have ever done. It was a Spiritual Journey that I will never ever forget. It was like I could feel all the soulds that were lost all at once. And I cried. My friends and I went to the Church that stood one block from the Trade Center. It amazed me because it was so "quiet" there and serene. And I cried. The picture is from the Church towards the grounds where the Trade Center was. We all need to remember.

I want to thank you and your husband for what you have gone through to safeguard our country. I personally don't feel the same since 9/11. There is some level of feeling that is gone. We are not as happy, carefree, ? I don't know how to express it, but even the noise level at say the mall, grocery store, or a gathering is lower, more controlled. We have all changed. Hope your stink bugs are under control. I enjoy reading your blog.

What a beautiful post and tribute. I started 2 different remembrance posts on my blog on the 11th and didn't finish either of them. I just couldn't find the words I wanted so I thought about those lost that day and prayed for their families and our country and all of those who have served to keep us safe since then.

Give Keith a hug for me and tell him I said thank you.
